With your contributions to our nonprofit Chinampa Temachtiani, we intend to contribute to keeping the chinampa tradition alive. We will restore and maintain chinampas, be active in Axolotl and environmental conservation efforts, create education-based activities for international cultural exchange, and improve existing mercado for chinamperos by providing electricity, food stations, and restrooms for workers and visitors.
Our Intentions
To support chinamperos in every aspect of restoring and farming their lands

It takes a lot of daily work to maintain a chinampa. We are looking for funds to buy materials, tools, and supplies needed by the farmers for their chinampas. We are also looking for volunteers to come help the chinamperos make repairs on their chinampas, cultivate, plant, and clean the surrounding canals.This is a great learning opportunity for volunteers.

We wish to raise funds for everyday care of the Axolotls at Chinampa Nantli and future chinampa projects, to create educational media content for awareness on everything Axolotl, and to participate in the current efforts to save them from extinction in their natural habitat.
To raise funds for youth cultural exchange opportunities

We wish to create a bridge between youth in Xochimilco and youth from around the world, and are excited about the friendships that will foster between them. They are our future land stewards and we wish to support them in their learning. We are looking for funds to; offer cultural exchange experiences; cover travel and accommodation expenses for youth with roots in Mexico who are living in different parts of the world and want to connect to their ancestral homelands; for youth from Indigenous nations wanting to learn about other cultures.
